Our Current Cats

These are the cats who currently live with us.  They are all unique individuals and we couldn't imagine the house without them! Click on any picture to see a larger view.

Jasmine and the Kittens:  Jasmine is our latest addition.  She was found, pregnant and probably very scared, floating in a plastic tub in the Concord River in MA.  She delivered 5 adorable kittens, with no fuss or trouble, sometime overnight on 8/4/04. Click on the picture to read about the kittens and see picutres.
Mo, Worf and Tux: These three are siblings we adopted from the Derry NH Humane Society. They had a fourth brother, but Squatch has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Mo.jpg (38981 bytes) Mo: (Or Mosaic) He was named for the pattern on his saddle- it has very thin white stripes breaking it up into patches and reminded us of a mosaic. He also has just a few white hairs on the very tip of his tail and a very pink little nose.  Mo is the sweetest cat you could imagine, although he is a bit of a chicken. Look up scaredy-cat in the dictionary and you'll find Mo's picture! We describe him as black and white and pink and yellow! He loves to be petted and will give head-butt "kisses", but his very favorite thing is tummy rubs!
Worf.jpg (31066 bytes) Worf: She is the female of the litter and is a tiny little thing with a big attitude. Originally, we were told that all four kittens in the litter were male, and when we discovered this one's attitude, we named her after the Klingon character, Lt. Worf, on Star Trek. Even at 8 weeks old, she would turn into a tiny little fluffball and hiss and spit at any of the other cats who tried to bother her. Still, she's sweet girl with us and loves to be petted, although she is not a lap sitter like Fudge, Mo or Sushi.
Tux.jpg (48054 bytes) Tux: (Tuxedo, Dougie) This is our SPED cat. Really! He has always been a little different. He is a classic tuxedo cat, which is where he gets his name. During the OJ Simpson trial (with Judge Ito), he became known as DougZito- a little play on Tuxedo, which is where the Dougie nickname came from. He doens't meow- he squeaks- literally. He collects things- cardboard rolls from toilet paper, socks, small stuffed animals- and brings them up to the bedrooms for us. He is often found off by himself, sleeping or rolling around on his back, away from the other cats. He does enjoy a good wrestle or chase with Max on occasion.
Max.jpg (56289 bytes) Max: (Maxwell) Max is another of our Kitty Angels cats. He was a "bag lady" living in an old shopping cart in the lot of an old building in Lawrence, MA when he was rescued. He had one eye shot out by some rotten kids with a BB gun, so he had to have the BB removed and the eye couldn't be saved. We still have the BB. For all that, he is a sweet boy who loves attention and drools when he is happy. He is still a little "gun shy" and startles easily at loud noises or sudden movements.
